CONCEALED ELECTRIC HEATING · DRYLINING

DRYTEC infrared heating film brings radiant warmth into suitable plasterboard ceilings and walls. It is designed for projects where heating can be integrated while the drylining is being installed, leaving the finished room free of wall-mounted radiators.

Heating designed around dry construction

E-NERGY CARBON DRYTEC attaches to a compatible drywall substructure before the boards are fitted. Its side mounting strips provide fixing areas outside the active heating zone. This makes the installation sequence particularly relevant to new builds, modular construction and refurbishments where ceilings or walls are already open.

A concealed finish

Plan the heating within the ceiling or wall build-up so the finished surface remains clear.

Drylining workflow

Coordinate the electrician and drylining contractor before boarding begins.

Room-by-room control

Specify compatible thermostats and power supplies around the areas you use.

Planning your DRYTEC installation

  1. Establish the heat demand. A room-by-room assessment should consider insulation, glazing, room size and the temperatures required.
  2. Agree the available heated area. Mark lights, access panels, beams and other services on the ceiling plan.
  3. Specify the electrical system. A qualified electrician should check supply capacity, protection, cable routes, sensors and accessible power-supply locations.
  4. Record and commission the installation. Follow the supplied instructions and keep the layout available for future work.

DRYTEC questions answered

Can it heat an entire room?

That depends on the room’s calculated heat loss, approved output and usable heating area. The design should demonstrate that the selected system can meet the requirement.

What will it cost to run?

Use expected electricity consumption and your tariff to estimate costs. Installed wattage alone does not show annual consumption. See our running-cost guide for the calculation and assumptions to request.

Can I cut or drill the film anywhere?

No. Any permitted cutting, fixing or penetrations must follow the instructions for the exact supplied product. Keep a record of heating zones and electrical connections.
