Where this product fits

MFH lists toroidal and EI transformer options with a 36 V safety extra-low-voltage output. Compatible room-temperature controls are available, including selected smart-control options. The suitable unit depends on the application; one specification does not describe every model.

Plan the installation

A qualified electrician should determine transformer capacity, cable lengths and sizes, circuit protection and accessible installation locations. Current on the low-voltage side differs from mains input current; avoid using one in place of the other when planning circuits.

Information to include in your enquiry

  • Floor plans, room dimensions and the property location.
  • Construction details, insulation and the proposed surface finish.
  • How the space is used and your intended project dates.
  • Existing systems and the work already planned.

Use qualified installers and follow the instructions for the exact product supplied. Installation design and commissioning are part of achieving the intended performance.

Common questions

Does 36 V automatically mean a lower electricity bill?

No. Electricity consumption is measured in kilowatt-hours. The heating demand, controls, operating time and conversion losses affect consumption; a lower secondary voltage is not itself an energy-saving claim.

How do I compare proposals?

Compare the complete installed system, controls, access for maintenance and the assumptions behind performance estimates. Ask for the specification in writing so the options can be assessed on a consistent basis.
