PET heating film laid beneath a floating wood-effect floor

ENERGY CARBON · PRODUCT GUIDE

PET underfloor heating film is designed for compatible floating laminate and parquet flooring. Its thin format makes it worth considering when a refurbishment calls for electric floor heating with limited build-up height.

Where this product fits

MFH describes E-NERGY CARBON PET as a specially coated, abrasion-resistant heating film, 0.4 mm thick. It is intended for floating floor installation. The film thickness does not represent the total floor build-up: insulation, underlay and the selected covering must be considered together.

Confirm the current product documentation and the complete installation specification before ordering.

Plan the installation

Give the installer the flooring manufacturer’s instructions, underlay details and proposed furniture layout. Confirm thermal resistance and temperature limits. Plan sensor access and avoid treating the heating film as a substitute for insulation.

Information to include in your enquiry

  • Floor plans, room dimensions and the property location.
  • Construction details, insulation and the proposed surface finish.
  • How the space is used and your intended project dates.
  • Existing systems and the work already planned.

Use qualified installers and follow the instructions for the exact product supplied. Installation design and commissioning are part of achieving the intended performance.

Common questions

Can PET film go under any carpet or floor covering?

Do not assume universal compatibility. MFH’s current product page specifies floating laminate and parquet. Ask for written confirmation of the complete approved assembly before using a different covering, including carpet.

How do I compare proposals?

Compare the complete installed system, controls, access for maintenance and the assumptions behind performance estimates. Ask for the specification in writing so the options can be assessed on a consistent basis.
