Infrared Heating Solutions for Commercial Buildings

Commercial buildings demand heating systems that are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective. Energy Carbon provides advanced infrared carbon heating solutions designed to meet the needs of modern businesses while supporting carbon reduction goals.

Our low-voltage infrared systems deliver consistent warmth, flexible control, and reduced energy waste across a wide range of commercial environments.

Why Infrared Heating Is Ideal for Commercial Buildings

Traditional heating systems often struggle in large or open commercial spaces, leading to heat loss and uneven temperatures. Infrared heating works differently by warming surfaces and occupants directly rather than heating the air.

Benefits for commercial buildings include:

  • Even heat distribution across large spaces

  • Reduced energy waste and lower running costs

  • No air movement or drafts

  • Silent operation with minimal maintenance

  • Flexible zoning for different working areas

Lower Operating Costs and Reduced Carbon Emissions

Energy Carbon infrared heating systems are designed to deliver heat efficiently where it is needed. By operating on safe 36V SELV voltage and avoiding unnecessary air heating, businesses can significantly reduce energy consumption.

This makes infrared heating an effective solution for organisations aiming to lower operating costs while meeting sustainability and carbon-reduction targets.

Flexible Heating Designed Around Your Business

Commercial spaces often have varied layouts, operating hours, and occupancy patterns. Energy Carbon systems can be zoned and controlled independently, allowing businesses to heat specific areas only when required.

This flexibility supports:

  • Offices and shared workspaces

  • Retail units and showrooms

  • Industrial and warehouse environments

  • Mixed-use commercial buildings

Suitable for New-Build and Retrofit Commercial Projects

Energy Carbon systems are ultra-thin and lightweight, making them suitable for both new commercial developments and refurbishment projects. Installation can be carried out with minimal disruption to day-to-day business operations.

This makes infrared heating an ideal option for upgrading inefficient heating systems in existing buildings without major structural changes.

Simple Control and Long-Term Performance

Energy Carbon infrared heating integrates with modern thermostats and building control systems, allowing businesses to manage heating efficiently and predictably.

With minimal moving parts and low maintenance requirements, our systems are designed for long-term commercial performance.

Recommended Energy Carbon Systems for Commercial Buildings

Depending on the building size and usage, the following systems are commonly specified for commercial environments:

  • P.E.T Film – robust solution for high-traffic areas

  • SmartFlex – adaptable for complex layouts and large spaces

  • Power – high-output solution for open or high-ceiling areas

Each system can be integrated into zoned control strategies to maximise efficiency.

CHURCHES

Religious buildings provide very complicated problems.  Generally run by huge, legacy gas boilers, often emitting high levels of noxious gasses which, ironically, require windows and doors be left open, and fed through to cumbersome emitters buried in the ground or against cold walls.

Providing under pew heating directly warms the worshipers in their seats and goes on to provide convection warmth around the building.  Again, no maintenance or burst pipes here and minimal requirement for plant space.

CASE STUDIES

church of St Martin,

Renovation of the church of St Martin, in 4042 Trstenik, Slovenia

The parish has had the nave refurbished. The IDEAL BASIC EPS 30 hydraulic system was used for future temperature control in the pew area. COMPACT FLOOR EXPERT 15 was chosen as the thermal conductive layer, as it fulfils all the technical requirements for this type of building. In addition, the E-NERGY CARBON FLEECE electric heating foils were laid on the EXPERT 15 as on-demand heating. These

ensure that the floor heats up quickly before events.

Pohl offices, Germany

Built in 1900, this suite of offices has 5m high ceilings!  The FLEECE system was selected to work within the walls and, in some rooms in the floor.  Controlled via wifi thermostats and run using our 36v transformers located in a cupboard.

Renovation of an office building in 49191 Belm

The office building is already equipped with water-guided surface heating in the ceiling and floor. Since the premises are not used continuously, E-NERGY CARBON FLEECE electric heating foils were installed on the ceiling in the entrance area and the meeting room. These are now used as on-demand heating. They are activated via a motion detector. The hydraulic heating system covers the base load at an energy-saving temperature level when not in use.
