Commercial buildings bring with them a myriad of challenges, from retail spaces, to heritage type buildings, modern offices with suspended ceilings to stylish, architect designed ‘spaces’ and even churches and garden pods.
Energy Carbon has not just 1, but 8 solutions to match most situations with a solid German pedigree and unparalled technical support.
OFFICES
For office spaces using a suspended grid style system, our SMARTFLEX range of heated tiles easily replace incumbent solutions with direct radiant heat above work spaces with output as little as just 300watts. Running at 24volts ensures Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) directive is covered.
By warming the workspace and colleague directly there is no wastage or ‘overspill’ where traditional panels sited under desks can overheat other workers and create dry, stuffy workplace – spreading colds and dust.
Systems can be triggered via timed or motion sensors and can even be moved to alternate locations in the event of a restaff.

RECEPTIONS AND RETAIL
For reception areas our higher wattage FLEECE system can either be discreetly hidden away behind a display wall to radiate out towards the reception desk or can be cleverly integrated within designer plinths or bulkheads.
WORKSHOPS, FACTORIES, WAREHOUSES AND TRADE COUNTERS
The Energy Carbon infrared FLOAT system is a bespoke hanging platform with integrated lighting designed to hang above work stations, trade counters and retail areas. Triggered by timers and occupancy sensors and running on safe 36v AC these units can be wired back to secure cupboards so that the electrical heating can be safely used in areas with potential combustion issues.

CHURCHES
Religious buildings provide very complicated problems. Generally run by huge, legacy gas boilers, often emitting high levels of noxious gasses which, ironically, require windows and doors be left open, and fed through to cumbersome emitters buried in the ground or against cold walls.
Providing under pew heating directly warms the worshipers in their seats and goes on to provide convection warmth around the building. Again, no maintenance or burst pipes here and minimal requirement for plant space.
CASE STUDIES
Renovation of the church of St Martin, in 4042 Trstenik, Slovenia
The parish has had the nave refurbished. The IDEAL BASIC EPS 30 hydraulic system was used for future temperature control in the pew area. COMPACT FLOOR EXPERT 15 was chosen as the thermal conductive layer, as it fulfils all the technical requirements for this type of building. In addition, the E-NERGY CARBON FLEECE electric heating foils were laid on the EXPERT 15 as on-demand heating. These
ensure that the floor heats up quickly before events.
Pohl offices, Germany
Built in 1900, this suite of offices has 5m high ceilings! The FLEECE system was selected to work within the walls and, in some rooms in the floor. Controlled via wifi thermostats and run using our 36v transformers located in a cupboard.
Renovation of an office building in 49191 Belm
The office building is already equipped with water-guided surface heating in the ceiling and floor. Since the premises are not used continuously, E-NERGY CARBON FLEECE electric heating foils were installed on the ceiling in the entrance area and the meeting room. These are now used as on-demand heating. They are activated via a motion detector. The hydraulic heating system covers the base load at an energy-saving temperature level when not in use.
