Infrared Heating Solutions for Care Homes and Assisted Living

Our systems support resident wellbeing while helping care providers manage energy use efficiently and responsibly.

DE-CENTRALISE AND DE-RISK

Comfortable, breathable air promotes family visits and conversations

Heating Needs in Care Homes and Specialist Care Environments

Unlike traditional heating systems that circulate warm air, infrared heating gently warms people and surrounding surfaces. This creates a stable indoor temperature without drafts or sudden temperature changes.

Key benefits for care environments include:

  • Even comfortable warmth throughout rooms

  • Reduced air movement and noise

  • Improved thermal comfort for vulnerable residents

  • Consistent temperatures across occupied spaces

Supporting Resident Comfort and Daily Care Routines

Maintaining consistent indoor temperatures is essential in care environments. Energy Carbon systems can be zoned and controlled individually, allowing staff to adjust heating levels based on room usage and resident needs.

This level of control helps create calm, comfortable living spaces while avoiding unnecessary energy use.

A HEALTHIER FACILITY

A HEALTHIER FACILITY

Infrared warms people and spaces rather than the air.  It is fast acting and, when in full operation, will not circulate dust, mites, germs and viruses and as each room is effectively climate controlled, cases of isolation to spread the risk of infection for issues such as Flu or Covid, can be more comfortable for the patient.

The reduced spread of ‘nasties’, is better for residents with chest issues such as asthma or COPD and, as the home feels more pleasant, it is more likely that friends and family will feel happier to visit.

Healthy staff too!

Managing Energy Use and Sustainability in Care Facilities

Energy Carbon infrared heating systems operate on safe 36V SELV voltage and are designed to deliver heat efficiently where it is needed. This reduces energy waste and supports care providers in managing rising energy costs.

Lower energy consumption also contributes to reduced carbon emissions, supporting sustainability goals across the care sector.

CARE HOME – SCOTLAND

This 120 bedroom home for dementia sufferers, operate a large gas boiler across all areas.  The heating has failed on multiple occasions requiring drastic repairs and temporary replacement heaters.

Energy use was running in excess of 1300mw’s pa and costing in excess of £350,000pa
